Bad start

Postby JustinCouch » Mon Sep 04, 2017 7:59 am

I hope this isn't a sign if what's to come the rest of the day. I've got wet wood. The guy I got it from said it had been cut and stacked for seven months
Oh well, adapt and overcome right.

At the risk of being labeled as the "bad wood" guy, my experiences with wood sellers is that many are just stupid or liars or crooks.
I recently gave away a trailer full of wood I bought from four sources and the best of it sat covered for more than a year and still was 30% water content.
ALL of it was "seasoned" wood for bbq, not sold as firewood.
My advice is to buy a moisture meter and not hand over the money until you test the freshly cut ends of the wood you are buying.

We are humming right along at 300 degrees and everything is going well. I made some ABTs half with sausage half with chrizo. I probably spelled that wrong but y'all know what I mean. Getting ready to prepare the wings now.

Dang Justin…I'm starting to think you were just modest about posting pics not wanting to make us look bad. :) That looks great!
