First weber cook
I have a couple of newyork strip steaks I am going to do for tonight's supper of Alfredo with steak chicken broccoli and mushroom. The wife is also bringing some ribs home. I can't wait to use this thing! Sorry I can't post pics right now. My phone is acting up. I will try again later.

Oup I can't thank you enough for showing me the abts. I think they are my wife's favorite thing to eat. Btw, the steaks are great. Ribs and other vittles are still on the grill.

Re: First weber cook
Steaks were perfect, peppers were tender, ribs were good. The chicken wings were ok. They were pre seasoned so that stuff always tastes a little off. The ribs kinda let me down. No pull back and no smoke ring despite tasting smoky enough. I love cooking on the weber. Its fuel consumption is great. I look forward to using it some more.

Re: First weber cook
Hey Justin, here is Oakie's Recipe for ABTs that got me started.
Thought you might like a copy.
Oakie's ABTs
8 Jalapenos halved, scraped clean
8 oz. package of cream cheese
6 oz. hot Italian sausage
1/4 cup sweet onion finely chopped
1/4 cup red bell pepper finely chopped
3 cloves of garlic minced
1/3 cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
1 pound of bacon
A light shake of a general purpose rub like Hoochie Mama
Brown the sausage, and then add in the onion, bell pepper and garlic.
Sauté until onions are translucent.
Allow the mixture to cool. Prep your jalapenos.
Combine the sausage mixture with the cream cheese and parmesan
in a self-seal bag. Mix well in the bag, and then cut off a corner
to squeeze the filling into the peppers. Wrap with bacon and put
them on the smoker at 350 degrees until the bacon is crisping up,
about 35 minutes. Check every five minutes for doneness.
