Small Steak Small Fire

Postby OldUsedParts » Sun Feb 04, 2018 10:24 am

I'm fixin me a Filet Mignon over some Kingsford Charcoal today and it will be accompanied by a like wise small red tater and small helping of wabbit food.

HEB, sells these in a two pack so I'm doing one for my Lunch.

Even tho it is seasoned and has a plastic pin, I replaced the pin with a Willie Pin and seasoned it again with my go-to for Steak - - - Suckle Busters Campfire Steak Seasoning  :salut:

I'll fire up the ECB in a couple hours and snap plated pics when she's finished.
:chef:
Don't think I'll break out the new Lodge C.I. grill ridge skillet for this small offering. :dont:
Maybe later with some Chicken Breasts a la Chris :salut:

Welps, Dinner's done and down

Look quick because it's probably the only grill marks that you'll ever get from me. :dont:

Used our fine Chinette and it's also disposable

Another pic to look at, especially Outlaw, because you'll also never see a medium steak from me. Only reason was the bacon so next time I'll eat the bacon RARE also. :D

Nice lunch. It’s hard to get those just right without the Bacon igniting

Looking good Em
Looks a heck of a lot better then the $35 steak I had Friday night.
Was my wife's bday on ground hog day. Kids wanted to take her out for dinner...on my dime of course
We went to a place we hadn't been to for years. All I can say it ain't what it used to be. :(
I'm a ribeye guy but I'll be darned if I'll pay 47 bucks for a 12oz ribeye that only comes with one side.
I went cheap and ordered the NewYork. Yuk !!!!
Ordered it medium rare. Showed up medium at best. Didn't even leave any juice on the plate when you cut it. :banghead:
Getting to the point about the only thing I dare order anymore is a burger when we go out.

That's exactly the way I do my fillets, wrapped in bacon and seasoned, cooked blue for me and med rare for the wife. Yours look perfect.
