Smoked then fried honey habanero wings

Postby bsooner75 » Sun Feb 04, 2018 1:51 pm

I was gifted a habanero rub by one of the awesome members (Thanks buddy!) of this forum and wanted to try it out. These turned out great with a mild sweet heat. Definitely want to try it again and try to bring out the spice.

I smoked using my slow and Sear for an hour then fried. Rubbed with the habanero rub then sauced with Sucklebusters honey bbq mixed with some butter and more rub. Turned out really good.

If they taste any where close to the way they look then no doubt they're "larapin" :salut:

I don't even like wings (too much trouble for small reward) but I would tear some of those up and just call 'em something else. :chef: :chef: :chef:

LOL - ah yes, had more than one told to steer clear of me back in the day. Looking back, their parents were right!

Wow! I definitely love my wings and these look killer! That color is off the charts too. I'm certainly curious about that sauce though.. I swear it has nothing to do with a dragon affinity. Lol!

Edit.. It's a rub.. My bad.. Found it!!
