Table survived maiden voyage

Snow melted enough yesterday to roll my Weber table from the shop to our deck.

I went with steaks for it first cook. Ribeye for me and a tenderloin for the missus.
I got a set of grille grates for the pellet pooper a couple years back. Tryed them once in the pellet and wasn't impressed.
They weren't getting used so I thought I'd modify them for the Weber. I've seen others on here that modified them to fit a kettle grille. I had to round off corners on two of the grates. Now they fit the grille perfect.
Been seeing a lot of discussion here lately bout grille marks. I thought I'd give it a try.
Grilled the steaks indirect till bout 110 IT then threw them over the coal end.

Worked out pretty good. Sure is nice having some counter space around the Weber, plus the table didn't catch on fire.

Way to break the table in! I think the grill grated are better suited for a coal based fire. Great looking table and plate!

Man those steaks look fantastic.

I love that table. My ONLY complaint about my Weber is the fact there is no table space and I can’t see shelling out the cash for a Performer.

Great well cooked steak, I'm glad the table never burnt, was my only concern about the cook, you proved me wrong. Chips? Shop,bought and oven heated? Still look good to me. Btw. I hate snow!!!

Yea the table going work out great. Like sooner said, love my kettle but lack of counter space with the kettle is a PITA.
No more setting trays on chairs. Another problem was holding the lid with one hand and turning the meat with the other.

Em, I thunk you'd like the utensils hanger. that garden rake was a great ideaer for sure, thanks for that. . Bottle opener showed up today. Got a few coats of clear on it to enhance the patina. It'll be getting mounted next to your rake. Thanks buddy.

Boy you got a little snow up north didn’t you. Agree that the steaks look great. Only problem that I see is that I didn’t get one. I love having a table to place stuff on. With the wind and moving the Santa Maria grill under cover, the room I had is no longer there. I also love repurposing tools or metal to work for me. I have quite a few horseshoes that I need to weld in make some table items. I had a blacksmith make me some killer marshmallow forks about 36” in length.
