Burgers meet B&B lump

Postby bondobill » Mon May 21, 2018 2:04 pm

Found a bag of B&B at my local Ace Hardware. I noticed a lot folks here like it. I mainly grabbed a bag to use in my block smoker but thought I'd give it try in the Weber.
After putting up with a bag of Weber charcoals  on my last couple cooks I gave the B&B a try. They light guick, burned hot and both my wife and I liked the flavor the Oak lump gave the simple burgers.
Warmed up my last package of CB to go on the burgers. Topped them off with some cheese...can't remember the name of the cheese but I think it started with a H.
Added some sautéed sweet onions and fried up a batch of twice fried Russets.

Ezy Sunday afternoon grilling.

The burger was 80-20 combo of ground brisket, chuck and sirloin.

Those look good Bill.

B&B is a good product. I started with oak but have gravitated to hickory for some reason. The mesquite is good for steaks and burgers as well.

Yep sure is. My last pack Id had in the freezer.
Time to cure up some more. Next patch I'm going for more sweet. Going leave out the garlic, onion powder and pepper and give it a rub of Maple brown sugar before it goes in the smoker.

Thanks for the heads up ,sooner.
Right now all they carry is the oak. I'll work on them to start carrying the others. :D
