Son wanted ribs

Postby Russ » Thu Jun 14, 2018 8:59 pm

He did me a favour last week and wanted ribs in return, lol, local place had them on special at $9 kg, so I bought some, cooked this morning and basted with my own sauce. This plate was my share, he got the rest, lol. Meat fell off the bone.

Reebz a la Russ - - - I'm like'n that plate of bonz, Pardnah :salut: - - - - is that a homemade sauce? if so, do you have a recipe that you wouldn't mind sharing :dont:

Wow, if my converting is correct those were $4.75 a LB

My own sauce which is home made tomato sauce, ( I make about 40 litres every summer) so it's

500 mls tomato sauces
1/3 cup worst ever sauce
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons mustard powder
2/3 cup malt vinegar.
Liquid smoke, I know it's cheating but I add a wee bit. My friend, an ex butcher gave me some. 1 teaspoon of that .

We have a secret in my family, my son and I don't tell my daughter when we have them, and vice versa, lol.
