Well as some of you know I had back surgery about 4 weeks ago. Still under strict no bending, lifting, twisting orders. Basically I am allowed to sit here, lay down, watch TV and walk. For the most part that has been fine except for I walk out back and look at Blue, my kettle and my Blackstone daily.
So…I promised to keep it simple and the wife agreed to help by filling the charcoal, moving the grill and lid lifting so I could cook a little. It felt so good but let me tell you, this little cool flat wore my butt out. I feel like it was really good for my morale though. One step towards normal.
Wings were marinated in Allegro, rubbed with Clucker Dust and then at the end I sprinkled them with some stuff Parts thought I wasn’t dumb enough to eat. Haha! Never doubt my dumbness :) they were hot and good.
Wife wanted okra so we did some olive oil and Sucklebusters Lemon, Pepper, Garlic. Winning combo.
Had a few brisket burger patties in the freezer so I hit those with Sucklebusters 1836.
Was a good meal and a good test of my progress. Got a ways to go, but I’m getting there!
