Knockin’ the rust off

Postby bsooner75 » Sun Sep 30, 2018 8:10 pm

Been too long and I’m getting to the point I felt like taking on a little longer cook (still recovering from back surgery) so I fired up the kettle with my slow n sear. Used Meat Church Gospel rub and Meat Mitch Whomp sauce in these ribs. Nice combo.

I failed to give myself enough time and everyone was hungry so I pulled them early. Could’ve stood a little longer on the grill but we had a nice dinner either way.

Thanks y’all.

Actually the asparagus was pan roasted by the wife and there is a little sautéed okra on the plate as well (the few we got from the garden) they both had Sucklebusters Lemon Pepper Garlic on them and were fantastic.

Thanks. Its been 2 months and I’m back at work. Promised the wife I wouldn’t tackle a long cook (brisket) for at least another month. I was definitely a little sore after cooking the ribs but it was worth it. Figure if I keep going it gets less uncomfortable each time…

Looks fantastic, sooner, and I hope you're well on the way to a full brisket-capable recovery.

PS: I love your presentation plate, looking for one just like it. 8)
