Shrimp en Brouchette - 2nd time El Gordo

Postby OldUsedParts » Sat Nov 03, 2018 10:51 am

Decided to try this Recipe one more time but this time with some Jumbo Shrimps from HEB. The young man behind the Seafood Case hand picked the largest of the pile and they represent themselves pretty well on this "Dinner Plate".

Parboiled, de-veined/seeded and Julie Ann'd a Gordo Jalapeno

Peeled and ready to Butterfly and Skewer

Skewered, Hootchie Mama'd and ready for some Pit Time.

Since they are so large, I think I'll nuke the cheese on top after they finish grilling.
Thinking some grilled street Corn and Pickled Okra for the sides along with some Garlic Butter Dipping Sauce.
More pics later "I hope"

The Chez is ready but I decided to melt it over the Coals instead of Nuke'n them.
A voice came to me that sounded like The BBQ Pit Boys Announcer saying
"If you nuke dat chez, you need to change your user name to Old Used Wuz :!: " :dont:

The Skewer barely fit the grill to give it all some adequate heat but it worked just fine.

That Voice Again
"Can you smell that :?: "

I had every intention of devouring all 6 but after 4, I was as full as a East Texas Big Thicket Tick

Those look great. Heck dare I say, I might’ve even skipped the cheese?

 as good as you are at Seafood/Cajun Recipes and Cooking, you should be able to knock these outa the Park, Willie Sir :salut:

One thing I have learned after 2 attempts is the smaller shrimp (26/30 + -) sure are easier to work with and I think they even taste better :dont:

Thanks PIney, :salut: don't know about fancy but they sure are good and if I'd just quit over thinking these things they'd even be better.
