Hog Waller Honey Pelletized Baby Backs

Postby OldUsedParts » Wed Nov 28, 2018 11:13 am

Finally got to try the new Suckle Busters Honey Rub on some Baby Backs today and they are on the Pit Boss in their 2nd hour.
Used Honey Mustard as the Glue and Apple Pellets are in the Hopper. Tried the 30 minute preheat and it caused several flare ups and took me a lot longer to get the temp down to the Smoke Setting but all is well now and I can't wait to try them.

I will spritz with Apple Juice every hour but not in excess just to keep them from getting too dry during the Low and Sloooooooow

Welps they're off and 5 of them are polished and in my tummy. I could not be more pleased with the taste of the Honey Rub and I'll be using it as much as I can from now on. I did not wrap these with foil any time during the cook but next time I think I'll give them a couple of hours in the Reynolds Blanket. :dont:
