Salmon on a Plank

Postby Smoking Piney » Sat Jan 12, 2019 4:21 pm

It's been a while since I've cooked planked salmon. No time like right now for some..... :D

Skin on filet dusted with SB Mesquite rub (I've found it killer on fish) and some dried dill.

Cooked on the BGE at 425 after toasting the well used planks. I LOVE the smell of the cedar when it cooks and it gives the salmon a great taste. :D

I'm going to serve this tonight with bacon sauteed Swiss chard. Life is good! :D

Looks delicious. Salmon on cedar is great. SB mesquite is new for me though. Your dinner guests should be happy.

Joernolav,

Thanks! :D

I normally use the SB Mesquite Rub for chicken and ribs. It's a sweet rub and I found that it works very well on fish.
