Made a 2 lb bone in ribeye tonight.
1. Trimmed, Worcester to stick, 1836 rub on all sides.
2. 275 on the Pits & Spits Maverick till 118 internal.
3. Finish on a hot as heck BGE for 3 minutes a side.
4. Rest.
5. Plate on paper cause I’m gonna drink a beer on the couch instead of doing dishes!
The 1836 rub was fantastic! Added some great notes without overpowering the flavor of the meat. I’m pretty sure I’ll need another can by April.
Thanks again to TX1911 for the great rub box!
Best Regards,
Gigemlaw

Well planned and executed from beginning to paper plate and beer on the couch. Fantastic all the way through.
I showed those tomahawks to my wife at Costco this morning and told her if she’d learn how to eat a properly cooked steak I’d buy one of those for us to share. One of these days I’m going to get my filter checked :)

Pretty nice looking stuff right there. 1836 is really good, it makes the best fried potato's you have ever had.
