Blackened ham steak ala woodenvision (sort of)

Postby Norway Joe » Sat Apr 06, 2019 1:57 pm

Was so inspired by woodenvisions blackened ham steak so decided to try that out today.

We call this piece of meat Flintsteak (after Fred Flintstone).

Found a recipe online that was without molasses since that is hard to get her.

Turned out pretty good. We usually throw that steak on the grill for 15 min. Turning regularly. Was a but excited to try this recipe.

This was a much better version. Even if it wasn't quite up to woodenvisions standard. Happy family around the dinner table. Also happy with the new sidetable which gave me some extra workspace.

We had our broccoliform which is broccoli in a form. Then sprinkled with EVOO, seasalt and some squeezed fresh garlic.
We also made some shrooms, twice baked potatoes and some chimichurri.

Fonzie is watching the grill, as usual. And yes, he got som pieces at the end.

Great post Joe, Woody is certainly one to pattern some cooks after, and we’ll try and get you on that blackstone like woody does in no time. I am in the United club in Newark. I should have went and made me a little plate before i saw this. Now i don’t want to see what is on that line now.

And the Fonz is standing tall today. That’s a pretty nice table. Wonder if they have those here in the states. Not sure what i would do with it but it’s a nice table for cooking purposes.

I bet they have it at IKEA US too. Think they have pretty much the same things all over the world. The tables product name is Klasen. Checked the us site and they have it. 119 USD.

Rambo, look at that photo of the Fonz standing tall. He could have any girl he wants with that pose. Turn him loose Joe, he’s got some work to do in the neighborhood.

Haha. He is getting old. Because his prostate was growing we had to chemically castrate him.

That’s tragic news, but not the end. I’m sure he would find one to at least rub noses with.

I think this is the first photo that i have really got a good look at your propane tank set up.

Ok. She is just laughing of my crocs and see the humor.

Must be good to come home after several weeks away. It's a long journey.

Tell me if they liked the chocolate, but keep it in the fridge.

great documentation Joe, good pictures I like Fonzie, and that Corona, well lets just say I grew up so close to the border of US and Mexico I had to drink a lot of those when I was young, I have seen so many people that would choose to drink those, these days, I guess it is different when one has a choice. Back in the day there was no choice one would drink the Mexican made beers or no beer.... :laughing7: :laughing7:
