I'da never thunk'it
We went to HEB today and low and behold my Wiffy who never buys the meat came home with these 2 premade Cowboy Bacon Prime Patties. I grilled them over some Charcoal for lunch and the Wiffy said it was the best burger she had ever had.
HOWEVER, I did not like the patty at all. It had a seasoning in the mix that was very dominant and I only ate about 1/2 of mine. I guess as long as she liked hers it was a 50% Win, eh?

Thanks for the happiness for the Wiffy, However, I promise you that it was the seasoning in the Patty and boycotted my palate

BTDT...when we've bought some pre-seasoned pork tenderloin and my mouth just cringed in horror.

My wife bought pre-seasoned pork tenderloin once. It looked great on the cook, but after one bite, I refused to eat it.
I think the pre-seasoned meat at a grocery store is their way of selling meat that's about to expire - drown it in seasoning and move it out.

My experience with pre seasoned meat isn't good either. I agree with piney. It probably is so6they will hide. The same with pre marinated meat. They are mostly awful imho.

Re: I'da never thunk'it
Seems like the general feeling here about pre seasoned meat and its a shame because " some " seasonings are actually pretty good. Usually, if i see something " different " and want to try it, I'm lucky enough to have my butcher cut me a fresh loin right there on the spot and he will put the seasonings in a zip lock bag for me.
Most places want to sell what they have in the case first which is a no brainer but I'm fortunate that I know this guy good enough that I pretty much get it while its coming in the door .
I think the problem is that the " juices " cause most of the problem being trapped in the cryovac.
Definitely had my fair share of chucking some loins out, never again.

I just now remembered of a Christmas Fat Hen that I bought that was preseasoned or marinaded (Can't remember) but I chunked it before our Company even got here. "YUCK"
