Read the Label DUMMY !

Postby OldUsedParts » Tue Apr 30, 2019 1:03 pm

Guess you can teach an old dawg new tricks. Just because it's in the Beef case and looks like Filet Mignon may not be the case as in my recent purchase cook. You'da thunk the length of time it took to grill would have been my first clue but nooooooooo, I had to cut into it for the brain cells to engage and then nothing snapped until I got the last of the pkg of 2 out and read the labels.

Now, after saying that, let me also say that it was a good Lunch with the grilled corn and the Wiffy's baby gold taters and green beans so all was not lost. Don't know if I'll give this last one away or not :dont:
Even my choice of Suckle Busters Seasoning shows I didn't have a clue it was Pork.

Hmmmm, don't think I've ever seen a cut of Cow that looked like this

Nothing wrong with that other than expecting beef. You got a double dose of pork!

Looks good to me! We've never seen pig disguised as filet mignon around here.

Last year I grabbed All Pork Hot Dogs instead of All Beef.
One thing this Yankee refuses to eat is Pork Hotdogs. If its not an All Beef Sabrett or Nathan's I won't eatem.

They still look good to me, OUP! :chef:

Also, I've had more than my fair share of not reading the label :laughing7:
