Very, very beautiful. Nice dog. Aren't there snakes out in the grass where the dog runs?. The burger looks good.

No snakes in the grass. Over here, the snakes like either marshy water areas (like cottonmouths, a vile Satanic primordial creature that favors murky muddy water, has poor eyesight, and has a nasty, aggressive attitude toward just about anything that moves. It doesn’t help that it is both poisonous and rife with foul bacteria), or they hide out in woodpiles, rotting leaf piles, under houses or anywhere it’s hard to be seen and they can catch mice, like copperheads, which have some of the worlds best camouflage. I deal with these types in one of two ways:

1-The Lizzie Borden Method - “Lizzie Borden took an axe, gave her parents forty whacks”, or
2-The Rooster Cogburn Method (as originally applied to rats) - Raising my 9mm Heckler and Koch with a jaunty one eyed stare, I repeat, “This is a rat writ, writ for a rat (or snake), and I hereby perform lawful service of same <BLAM!>

All other snakes in this part of the country are entirely welcome and encouraged, Including green garden snakes, rat snakes, Redbelly snakes, hognose snakes, blue racers, king snakes, or any other non-venomous snake. Politicians, which are universally viewed as undesirable snakes, or afforded the option of either Numbers 1 or 2 above.

Parts, the young lady’s name is Belle. While not quite as smart as the late, one-in-million Mollie the Wonder Dog, she is 110% game, and shows very cowy instincts. She is a bit different though, acts like a coyote sometimes with yelps and chatter and howling. She has strong linkage mentally I think to Cromagnon era dogs.

Can’t beat farm life.

I grew up in south Georgia and I was all about fishing and hunting. Cotton mouths are indeed vile creatures that I've had a few "way too close for comfort" encounters with when I was fishing.

I also learned to respect the wood pile when I went out to get splits for our wood burning stove - Copperheads love wood piles and I've been too close for comfort to few of them.

Two snakes you don't want to mess with..............

Haha. I understand why they stay out of your property. They don't need a "no trespassing " sign.

Beautiful dog.

After Hurricane Alicia, my Wood Piles and any other Pile that happened to be on the Ranch became infested with them. I think it's safe to say I probably killed several dozen in the next couple of months. Brrrrrrr :angryfire: :whiteflag:
