Grilled Sea Bass Tonight
I was a Cosco a couple of days ago, and a pack of Sea Bass caught my eye. I've never cooked them before but the price was right and they came home.
Marinaded for about an hour in McCormicks Southwest marinade, and grilled on the BGE with some mesquite chips for smoke:
They rocked!

Re: Grilled Sea Bass Tonight
Sea Bass are great when cooked right Smo Pin and those look really good.
I've never grilled mine but I'll have to try now.
The only way I've had these was deep fried and blackened and some Lemon Juice.
Thanks for sharing, great looking Bass for sure.
Question for you tho, did you at any time put these in foil or just like this the whole time ?

I’m sure it was delicious, at least I’ll take your word for it but I will have to pass on this dish.

Great ?Grouper?, Sir Piney - - - do you brush or baste them with anything during the cook?

I wudna gonna say nothing, but since Parts kicked open the door and hollered “freeeze!”, I gotta say those look like trout or specs... course, I’ve never seen a sea bass that wasn’t crosscut into steaks so what do I know...
What I DO know is they look fabulous.

The "Old Salts" (aka Coastal Benders ) down here refer to Groupers as Sea Bass but I do know that too much Lat and Long can change the definition of even Air and Water

Ok I get it. Just like a dolphin is not necessarily a dolphin/porpoise. Bduh

And I think I crowd w Rambo on this. Kinda like that scene in the Christmas movie where the head of the bird is still on and “smiling” at the family. After seeing that, I went out and bought a cleaver.

Similar to what I heard a Woman say when her husband ordered Calves Tongue.
"I ain't eating nutting that came out of a Calve's mouth so just give me 2 eggs over easy !"
