The Walmart Beef Ribs
Would one of you guys buying the meaty Walmart beef ribs please post a picture of the packaging?
I wasn’t expecting true Dino Bone (plate ribs). I know what those are and highly doubt any Walmart’s carry them. Usually those come from a butcher and I have scored them at an HEB a couple years back.
What I was hoping for was just a decent beef rib with some meat on it. What I got was something between a chuck rib and a shiner in my opinion. The packaging left me stumped because they looked like on 4 bone thick rack until I cut it open and found two thinner racks. Don’t get me wrong they were cheap and I bet the will cook up nicely with a shorter cook time just not what I was looking for.
Again - I know what plate ribs are and I wasn’t expecting plate ribs. Thanks! I’ll post cool pics later.

Either run back and buy two more if they're still on sale OR wait until the Kids are gone

LOL - I think we’ll have plenty. My youngest isn’t big on meat and the oldest likes meat but is short on appetite.

Well here we go. No idea how long they will take. Probably going to try and run a little hotter than normal and hope to get to rest them in a cooler for a while before we eat. But I’ll just roll with it today. Using the slow n sear on the Weber Kettle.

The scrap bones in the ack are done and headed to the cooler to rest. The meatier bones in the front are getting wrapped in foil for an hour or so.

The meatier bones probed tender so I’m going to put them in a cooler for a little bit until we are ready to eat.

Look for these...... 4 bone rack measures about 9" x 10" or so.

Re: The Walmart Beef Ribs
Thanks TX - haven’t seen those at any of the Walmart’s I have checked but will keep looking.
Final verdict in the ribs I cooked(whatever the heck they were). The meaty end was very good. Excellent flavor and very tender. The boney end was useless. What meat there was on it had some tough connective tissue holding to the bone. For $7, I would cook them again and just buy two so I could throw the shiner end away.
Served with leftover Bacon Fried Corn.

Re: The Walmart Beef Ribs
Thanks y’all. They really did have good flavor and the bigger ones were very tender.
