Went to the cabin yesterday haven't been here since March. Having a week of holiday.
The weather was fine, so we lit up the fire pan today. Grilled a few hot dogs over the fire. A selection of bratwurst, cheese dogs with or without bacon. Also heated up a little kraut. I bought a jar of polish kraut that is great.
As usual served in lompe and only mustard. Never ketchup.
Tasted great in the fresh air.

Yumm Yumm, Chuck Wagon Joe - - - - those pics are awesome - - not just the Grub but the Scenery also - - I"ve never seen a Norwegian Ripper before but just the thought of a Weenie, Bacon and Lompe with Kraut makes my mouth water.

You had me at bratwurst and well kraut. Not any better combo. Maybe beer and sunshine but that’s it.

Joe, I have to second what OUP said, (also known as "the ripper king") Those dogs look great and the scenery is a plus also, I like your prefer mustard always on a hot dog.

The fuel is logs of wood. Usually, we use Birch as we did now. That pit is very versatile. Often used for just a bonfire after dark. It also comes with a griddle plate for cooking eggs, veggies, etc. It also has a chain hanging from the top used for a cast iron pot for stews, soups, and such.Sailor Kenshin wrote:What they all said! What's the fuel in that pit? Gotta try this too.
