OK, after deleting my first post, let's try again.
As I said before, I didn't participate in the first throwdown and have a couple of questions.
1. The pics that are submitted should be of the finished product, right?
2. Rules state "one entry per catagory per person". This would translate to one pic per catagory or one "meal" per catagory?
3. I am assuming that steaks, pork chops, etc would be in the "Anything Goes" catagory?

!
Chuck, some very good questions that deserve a detail response.
Doesn't have to be a plated meal. Example: A brisket on a platter with a bunch of slices laying to one side and the bulk of the unsliced brisket on the other side would be legal and IMHO preferable. This is a Q contest, not a sides contest. But if you think putting sides on a plate gives you an edge GO for it In the end the Judges are the members of the forum who takes the time and effort to vote. So VOTE , especially if you didn't enter cause a all-way tie would be a bit of a problem.
That would be correct
Again correct. But you could get a hunk of pork chops before they are chops (have the butcher crack the bone with the saw before smoking) and you have a Hunk O Meat. Or smoke a whole tenderloin that ends up being steaks, same idea.
For the record, I'll be entering some items on the Throw Down Site, but you won't see them on the Poll Site. Good old conflict of interests at work.
So a week from Friday expect the Sheriff to announce: Gentlemen & Ladies, start your SMOKERS!
