That being said, remember, tomorrow night at midnight is the deadline to enter! Some great grub's been sent over, so get in while you can!

Stayed away from the smoker yesterday - had a nice bacon cheeseburger at our local watering hole. Nice change of pace.

Back on the smoke later today - first time chicken leg quarters on the new pit.

So I let my fatty cook above my bird thinking it would be awesome for the skin. Then the bird bust through its skin like the Incredible Hulk! Tasted great but not so photogenic. So no TD for me this go round.

Good luck everybody!

Thanks I really appreciate it. The fam loved it. I even added the drippings to the gravy for a little smokey flavor.

I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving with family and friends. I made a last minute decision to enter the throw-down and when i got around to send in my pic on Saturday morning. I realized that I hadn't taken the picture correctly :banghead: I cropped my picture the best I could and sent it in. However it still was not within the rules :x

oh well lesson learned and next time I will have to read the requirements before taking pics!

I still wanted to share my picture "uncropped" with all of you, smoked Bird, smoked ham and my beautiful wife's side dishes.
