Official description of the plate was lean brisket slices, cast iron bacon brussel sprouts and cheesy jalapeño grits casserole.

I know some of y’all did some killer cooks. Was hoping to see some awesome entries but I realize finding the time is tough with family, guests etc.

Maybe we can get a blowout participation next TD!

Excellent - the brisket is mightyfine and then you added cheesy jalapeño grits, and pimped up sprouts. Can I have seconds please. I could hammer that all day long.

Sorry for the poor turn out, Counselor, and I'm one of the guilty ones but "things" just got in the way of presentation pic taking that day. Chief Cook, Bottle Washer and Host sometimes doesn't leave any extra time.

I knew this was coming around but it came sooner than I thought, I really want to put an entry in some time soon but I find time just gets away from me. It's a shame only 1 entry was submitted, I guess every one thought everyone else was competing.? I know it takes time to organise this and I for one appreciate what he does. I'm gunna try harder to be in the next one so be warned peeps,lol.

Lmao. As an aside I was going to do a beer butt yesterday but when I unwrapped the chook it was stuffed with sage n onion stuffing. Wife made me roast it instead. Beer butt coming up soon. Btw the roast chicken was great.

I too had a pic of the turkey on the pit but when it came time to plate - - - I simply ate.
