Q'ing For A Cause June Benefit Cook

It's time for our 2014 Spring / Summer benefit cook, for the June event this year we have chosen No Stone Left Un-Turned Corporation (https://www.facebook.com/restinrespect). Lee Pelly and his group started No Stone with the goal and mission to place as many headstones as possible so that our American heroes may rest in peace with the respect they deserve. Our group, Q'ing For A Cause (http://qingforacause.com/), consists of 8 Southeast Texas (Beaumont, Port Arthur area) competition cook teams that compete all year long at various events, but come together twice a year to give back to the community. In December we do a turkey cook that benefits a local soup kitchen in it's efforts to feed the needy during the holidays, in June, we hold a cook to benefit a group or organization with our American Veterans in mind, last year our cook helped raise money for The Wounded Warrior Project as well as a local VFW chapter. This year we look forward to helping Lee and No Stone Left Un-Turned in their efforts to take care of those who protected us.
Our fundraiser this time is selling competition quality cooked briskets for a $75 donation, obviously very few of you guys want to buy a brisket, but if you can donate towards the cause to help offset the expenses, which will then allow us to make a larger donation to No Stone, we would welcome it with open arms. Any amount will truly help us reach our goal of 125 briskets, currently we are at 96, with numerous verbal commitments for more. We would also like to extend a friendly invitation to anyone that wishes to come help with the cook or just wants to come by Friday night and hang out with the cook teams as we have a band playing from 7-11 with some beverages and food available.
