This is most likely a mighty fine event....but Good Lawdy Miz Clawdy they could of picked a lot mo betta name than Chigger Hill. I have had numerous run ins with those itty bitty blood suckin mites and never has any encounter gone well! Good luck to all that attend!

LOL! The first year they had it, it was an overgrown pasture. They waited until the day before the event to mow it. Everybody got ate up!! We started calling it Chigger Hill, and the name stuck.

Hope to see you next year. Looks like we're in for some great weather. Low 80s during the day and mid 50s at night.

The legionnaires used to do one in the fall, but they quit doing it. The sons have been talking about taking it over.

Re: 9th Ever Chigger Hill Cook Off 5/2/2015 Huntsville, Tx
We had a great time at this event. 12th brisket, 5th ribs, 3rd chicken for 6th overall. My wife has been practicing ribs for a couple of months and this was her first comp. She had a great showing for her first time out. Congrats to Allan and Vivian Freeman on their GC, and congrats to Aaron and Paige Bisher on their RGC. Also thanks to Rob and Mandy Bailey for keeping things going smooth.
