Any competition for kids

Postby Hutch » Tue Mar 20, 2018 9:15 pm

I am a 4H volunteer in Orange County Texas. We got a late start this year due to Hurricane Harvey but we have formed a pit masters workshop this year. We do have a 4H district competition. Are their any cook offs with a youth category?

There are a lot of cookoffs that do have a kids Q in it Hutch. They mostly do opens and grilled pork chops as their categories.
Locally in August there is an IBCA cookoff in Kirbyville and they have a Kids Q Friday night.
DEEP East Texas BBQ Cookoff.

Thanks for the info. We hope to get some practice runs this summer. Not sure how many kids are going to want to compete. We had 18 kids at our last workshop.
