Was this past weekend I think. Heard a rumor our old list mate 3 Star Redneck was the illustrious hoo haw of the event. Big congrats to him. Belive I heard they had over 60 teams. Should qualify him for the American Royal Invitational for next year. WTG Redneck!!

Thanks BW!...was a great cook off again this year..The Lions Club does a great job of this event....There were 63 teams this year...this event is growing bigger and bigger every year....I had the good fortune of winning GC this year..... :D


Congrtats to everyone that got a call..and especially to my good freind Wallker Keeney who was Reserve Champion.. :lol: :wink:

Well great job at Keller and best of good fortunes at Traders. Thats prob the best cookoff in the world...mighty tough field too. Dang do I have some good war stories about that place:) Some can't be told in a public forum and others are sorta vague. Do recall one story which I be glad to share. It rained like a cow peeing on a flat rock all weekend and woke up Sunday morn realizing that everybody was outta beer and whiskey. Old tall skinny gal walked by (she was cooking with a team from one of the local beer joints)..and I axed her: You got anything to drink?..using my most pitiful voice of course...She say...I got some Yeager. Whew..she had a bunch of Yeager. Figger everybody in the general vicinity blow .30 on the breatholater by the time to go home. She sure was a nice lady.
