I cook mine on frogmatts and let the grease run, also use 80% hamburger so it has plenty of fat for cooking.

do a google search for frog mats, they are like hail screen or hardware cloth with 1/4" square holes and coated with some Teflon or such non stick material, like cooking on a screen lets the grease go and the meat get smoke to all sides :pig: once I discovered them the are easy clean up especially if you spray with pam before cooking, works great for shrimp, and other stuff like fish, you can take frog mat and all to the table on a cookie sheet,

they are expensive, in my opinion, but I have not worn one out or used it up and they are dishwasher safe :cheers:
