Nachos kiwi style

Postby Russ » Sun Sep 10, 2017 10:06 pm

I haven't seen how you guys do them, I use a bit of butter to cook 1 onion diced, then add minced beef. A packet of nacho mix, a tin of tomatoes, some chilly beans s and p and that's about it. Then Doritos on a plate with mince in the middle, cover in cheese then grill/ broil to you guys?. Dip with sour cream. Quick dinner tonight. Pics to follow.

Looking great right there Russ !! I've never used Doritos for them, always Tostitos Corn Chips, but I think I'd like to try your idea, I'll use the sweet & spicy ones ( purple bag ) .
I also like to add black olives, scallions, chicken or brisket in an aluminum pans with foil over lump and pecan chunks.
I poke holes in the sides of the pan just above the top layer of cheese for the smoke to get in.
Mesquite seems to be too bold, haven't tried any others yet.

Cheers buddy, eat up :):)

Oh yeah...

YOU can have the sour cream...lol, I can't stand it but Deb LOVES it and if I give her a baked tater or nachos without it, I get the Death Look !

Looks like you got a pretty good grasp on nachos. I'd eat those

Lol, funny you mention this about stuff about baked tatter, exactly what wife said last night, we hadn't had sour cream in ages, she requested baked tater tonight for her dinner. I cut a cross in spud and press down to open it up. Teaspoon tomatoe relish then good dollop of sour cream. Love it.
