Father's Day here tomorrow .....

Postby Russ » Fri Sep 01, 2017 8:27 pm

So it's Father's Day here tomorrow, so wife doesn't want me cooking all day, she suggests I take out a half ham from the freezer, she text the kids and they are all bringing salads etc. so I just have to cook and baste the ham for 2 hours tomorrow. I've just prepared the ham, sliced the thick skin part off and scored. Baste is simple, equal parts of
Bourbon, maple syrup, apricot sauce and then a big spoon of honey grain mustard, baste every 15 to 20 mins. I've tried dozens of bastes and this is the best ever.
Pics to follow.
