So, this whole coronavirus CV 19 thing set my feeble brain to thinking. Got to be some positive elements we can “pull” from this. So i dialed up Mr Peabody and Sherman and jumped into the way back machine, and came up wid dis:
I recalled CV is the legitimate designation for a fighting aircraft carrier of the proud United States Navy. And in this particular case, CV-19 is the official designation of the USS Hancock, commissioned in 1944, and serving an unusually long and decorated career through 1976. She and her crew earned 4 battle stars during World War II, and a presidential unit citation during Vietnam. She was also the first United States aircraft carrier to be equipped with steam catapult launchers for her jet fighters and attack aircraft.
In a tribute to the spirit of the “Fighting Hannah”, emblematic of the fighting spirit of the people of the United States today in the face of a new threat, I give you the “CV-19 Fighting Hannah Sammy“. Smoked big butt for nine hours from last weekend, chunked out and then frozen; unfrozen and warmed up today open fresh sourdough bread with some good kraut, rat cheese and onion.
Fight on, with a positive spirit and faith in the inevitable victory over this insipid germ.
