Chicken sate

Postby Russ » Tue Apr 10, 2018 7:36 pm

I know it's not smoking but I sometimes need my sate fix, I first tried it in Singapore 20 years ago, it's a peanut sauce served with chicken skewers. I was recently in town and there were food trucks there, I spotted a sign saying Singapore sate. I tried some and loved it instantly. I giggled the recipe and picked 2 that sounded good and combined them. It was really nice. This is made with real dry roasted peanuts then ground. Not with the quick version made with peanut butter. Some pics . You guys may not have tried this.

Pieces of chicken and some green capsicum from wife's greenhouse. Grill and serve with rice and sauce over it. It's really good.

My kids just bought me a rotisserie which I cooked a leg of lamb on at Easter. Next charcoal cook I do will be 2 chickens done over it. My kids raved about the leg. I was impressed also.

Looking good.
Looking forward to more camping trip with my family. I need a new tonneau cover to secure my equipment and pit.
