Southern Chicken Salad

Postby Papa Tom » Sat Feb 16, 2008 10:35 pm

Here's one from Mrs. PT (her maiden name was Midge). She made this today and it is really good.
Remember my chicken with football laces that got DQ'd in the Throwdown well this was his last hurrah.

6 Cups chopped smoked chicken
3 Cups sliced green grapes
1 Cup toasted sliced almonds
2 Stalks celery diced
3 green onions minced
3/4 Cup mayonaise
1/4 Cup sour cream
2 Tablespoons sherry
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Stir all ingredients together, cover and chill until ready to serve.
Yield 6 to 8 servings

This stuff is great as a snack on Ritz crackers.
