Postby Hj » Tue Mar 02, 2010 4:19 pm

Clean- peel -no tails medium bacon wrap in pieces of bacon-no toothpicks either
Bake quickly in oven on baking sheet about 400 F. turn just to sometimes brown the bacon but not always.

Take some bacon grease –melt butter with little chicken broth-mixed well -heat ñ after
shrimp are done- lay them in the hot melted butter –bacon grease with broth..Addictive little suckers! Bet u can't eat just one!!!

Note~ can season melted butter with little salt-garlic granular ñ cayenne pepper to ur taste!!
cayenne not necessary or add little lemon zest to the melt butter-get creative.

my Wiffy's favorite is bacon wrapped shrimp done on the Grill kabob style and I cook them a lot
because I like being a hero around the house -the last time I did them, I fixed my half with a
sliver of roasted jalapeno and some fake crab meat under the bacon also - - they were awesome

You all are correct ` let's add more from jalapeno's to cheese to Wine

12 jumbo shrimp wash peel to tail devein pat dry
6 bacon slices cut in half
1 jalapeño seeded devein
1 Monterey Jack cheese slice thick
1 T. paprika
1 T. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. gr. black pepper
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. white wine
wooden skewer soaked in water 30 minutes
Kosher salt
Lemon or lime wedges

Clean ñ devein shrimp - leaving tails intact. Carefully slice each shrimp from tail to tip. Wash ñ seed jalapeño - cut into a long thin slices to fit length of shrimp. Cut slices of cheese into 12 small pieces. Stuff 1 length piece cheese length of shrimp with 1 strip of jalapeño into each shrimp. Wrap a half slice of bacon around each shrimp.
Place shrimp on a wet skewers. Repeat till all shrimp - placed on skewers. Place in fridge covered till ready to use.
Mix together paprika - cayenne pepper ñ black pepper together.
Use small skillet - heat butter ñ white wine till butter is completely melted.
Start grill. Take shrimp from fridge - brush completely with melted butter ñ wine mix. Sprinkle with mixed seasonings ñ wrap with bacon - sprinkle little kosher salt all over. Sometimes I squeeze lemon on bacon while cooking. Can use lime. Or just put wedges when serving.
Grill on each side till shrimp are done. Turn often as not to burn
YummyYummy the Tummy. Serve with salad ñ buttered spaghetti squash.

Note~ could smoke or grill or broil these .. they are basic but elevated a touch.
