Crab Balls with Jalapeño Hj’s

16 ozs. can white crab meat *
8 ozs. cream cheese
1/2 c. green onion ñ few stems chopped
1/2 c. red ñ green bell pepper dehydrated*
1 jalapeño seeded diced
3 T. butter
1½ c. half ñ half or cream
1/4 tsp. garlic granular
Salt ñ pepper to taste
Panko bread crumbs

Small pan or skillet - melt butter
Add green onion with stems- *fresh peppers or (dice really fine or *dehydrated bell peppers ñ jalapeño to butter. Sauté until almost golden brown.

Add half ñ half or cream to mixture - bring to boil. Reduce heat.

Add cream cheese -mix well ñ blended. Add salt pepper ñ
garlic -mix well.

Add crabmeat -work into all ingredients until blended well. Cook 15 minutes -remove from burner. Let cool 30 minutes.

Add bread crumbs to a mixing bowl. Scoop 2 Tbsp. crabmeat mixture at a time ñ roll into Panko bread crumbs. Place scoops on wax paper.
Chill 24 hours or freeze mixture until ready to cook fry or bake.

Notes~ Can use regular seasoned breadcrumbs or plain. Season Panko crumbs with just a just of cayenne pepper - salt ñ pepper.

Serve with cocktail or Ranch dressing

Notes*~ Can make these with shredded pork-beef-chicken or turkey -use any dip U like
Great for parties -easy to make or main meal or snacks.
I add garlic granular to taste if using meat or poultry n can add little chipotle seasoning or smoked paprika ..Gret creative on this n try differnet ingredients - so easy.
Made these with 1 part mayo -1 part sour cream when I didn't have half ñ half -added mromano cheese if seemed too thin to form balls.
A mistake is sometimes a great creation
