I was shopping for some jumbo shrimp today and saw these Argentina Red Shrimp. They are very large and head on but I was reluctant to try them. Soooooooo has anyone out there bought these and tried them yet :?:

Love tiger prawns, think these come from Australia, most of ours come from Vietnam, they are pretty good. I bought a bag the other day for dumplings, having the rest in a prawn cocktail later in the week.

OUP, I have had those, but I don't think that is what they called them though. They have somewhat of a little sweeter taste. They were good. I had them at a boiled seafood place in Houma called Cajun Critters. It wasn't something they had often, it was on the special board. And they were big as well.

Thanks, Sir, the Lady at the Meat Counter said that they were sweeter - - - - I'm sure gonna try some next time I'm in need of Shrimps. :salut:

I don't think you will be disappointed with them. The ones I had were good. But then again the boiled seafood in Houma is very good. Stiff competition over there. I had them with corn and potoato's and sausage with some mushrooms as well.

Those are the ones I buy. Only have skewered and grilled and they were fine. They are a little sweeter. Only buy them because they seem to be cheaper when i want shrimp.

The nicest I've had we're in Australia, they were strawberry prawns. Best I've had.
