BBQ Onion

Postby BBQ Mike » Thu Oct 14, 2010 7:28 pm

Large Vidalia, or Sweet Onion
Core out center, but not all the way through.( I use an apple corer for this)
Cut down on 4 sides, but not all the way through.
Place a Beef, or Chicken bullion cube down inside.
Place a small piece of bacon on top of bullion cube,
Liberaly squeeze soft margerine in and around onion.
Drizzle BBQ sauce over and in onion.
Wrap in foil and place in pit on the far end away from fire box, or indirect method
Let cook for 45 minutes to one hour.

I do these sometimes at comps for friends to munch on.
