Quick and delicious Slaw

Postby Okie Sawbones » Sat Jun 28, 2014 10:35 am

Best Barbecue Coleslaw
Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients
• 18 ounce package Coleslaw mix (or shred your own cabbage and carrots)
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/8 teaspoon pepper
• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 1/4 cup milk
• 1/4 cup buttermilk
• 2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
• 1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar

Preparation
• Combine shredded cabbage and carrot in a large bowl.
• Whisk together sugar and next 7 ingredients until blended; toss with vegetables. Cover and chill at least 2 hours.

Friends and family love it, especially topping a pulled pork sandwich.

Thanks Okie, will be trying that recipe. Cooking ribs in the morning, slaw would go well with ribs. CF :D
