Red Taters - ABT's

Postby nascarchuck » Fri Mar 02, 2007 8:33 pm

Well, a guy at work shares his lunch with me a time or two a week. His wife made some red taters last week that were purty good, so while I was at the store the other day, I bought some red taters.

I cut the taters in quarters because they were purty large. Boiled until done, added about a half a stick of butter and mixed then added some finely grated colby and jack cheese.

Tastes almost as good as hers did!

I also made some ABT's for dessert. I am letting them cool down some before I pop the first one on my mouth. I made 4 of them with chopped cilantro and lime jiuce mixed in with cream cheese.

Hold on...

Hey, that's purty good! Afriad that I got too much lime juice, but could barely taste the lime juice.

Whew!!! That second ABT was H O T !!!

Anyone got a Kleenex???

A late post, but the ABT's sound great!
Actually, the red potatoes sound really good, too!

I like ABTs and really like roasted red taters...

I just take and cut-em in half... If there too big, quarter them. Toss 'em in some olive oil with course salt and fresh cracked black pepper. Throw in some herbs if ya want (rosemary/thyme works well) and put on a sheet pan and roast 'em in the oven until done...

Hoped that you chase those ABT's with some Blue Bell ice cream, so that tomorrow, when you are on the throne, you can say "Come on Ice Cream."

The way that I normally do roasted red potatoes is use the Lipton Onion soup mix and go by the directions on the box. Thats some good stuff!

I had some ABT's this weekend with shredded chicken in 'em. Never had 'em like that before and they were 'off the hook' good.

My favorite way is to buy the Tyson brand pre-cooked chicken fajita meat. Cook the chicken in a skillet to get get moisture out of them, dice em up and put em in the peppers along with cream cheese.
