This recipe has been around for a while, but just in case someone missed it, here it is:
World's best snack crackers
1 box Zesta saltine crackers (4 sleeves)
1 cup canola oil
1 pkg hidden valley ranch dressing (dry)
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Place crackers in 10 X 13 tupperware container with lid.
Drizzle the oil mixture over the crackers.
Secure lid and Flip back and forth a few times to distribute the seasoning.
Eat
Warning: They are addictive, you can't stop munching on them.

Re: World's Best Snack Crackers
Thanks for the recipe Stan, I went to a wedding a few months ago where I ate some crackers that looked like they had some seasoning cooked in to em. I think this was it!

Re: World's Best Snack Crackers
Stan here is my take on the crackers. CF
1 Ritz low salt crackers (4 sleeves)
1 cup canola oil
1 pkg hidden valley ranch dressing (dry)
2-3 T. red pepper flakes
1/2 tea. onion powder
1/2 tea. garlic powder
Option. 1 package of powered cheese from the mac and cheese box.
I put all the ingredients in a 2 gal zip lock bag, mix well, add crackers and tumble for 5-6 min. Pour onto a large cookie sheet, spread out and place in 350° oven for 5 min. stir heat for another 5 min. remove to cool.
The heat causes the oil to go into the crackers and keeps the spice in place.

CF: Thanks for the recipe. I have copied and saved it.
Kind of afraid to try it; if they are any better than the ones I already make I might founder.

Re: World's Best Snack Crackers
I haven't tried it but a lady told me to use soup (oyster) crackers and basically like CF did using the oven.
OK here is the soup cracker recipe
HIDDEN VALLEY RANCH OYSTER CRACKER
SNACK MIX
2 bags plain oyster crackers
1 pkg. Ranch mix original
1/4 tsp. lemon pepper
1/2 to 1 tsp. dill weed
3/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 c. salad oil
Combine Ranch mix and oil; add dill weed, garlic, and pepper. Pour over crackers. Spread onto jelly roll pan. Place in warmed oven 15-20 minutes.
