Whisky Pumpkin Pie

Pastry for a large deep pie
2 c. cooked pumpkin
1 c. sugar
3 eggs separated
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. cream
1/2 c. butter melted
1/2 c. whisky
1 T. cornstarch

In a bowl with pumpkin- add sugar- egg yolks ñ cinnamon - beat several minutes. Quickly add cream -butter ñ whiskey -mix well –set aside.
Beat egg whites till stiff in another bowl-sprinkle cornstarch over the stiffly beaten egg whites ñ fold into the above mixture. Pour into a pastry lined pan about 2 ½ inches deep - bake 1 hour in a 375° F. oven. Let it cool.
