No Bake Corn Flake Chocolate Bars

Just received this from my oldest Step Son and I am going to try them very soon.
Ingredients:
5 C corn flakes
1 C Ghiradelli chocolate morsels, semi-sweet (next time I’ll use dark chocolate)
1 C Butterscotch morsels
½ C Peanut butter, creamy (next time I’ll use a crunchy, natural PB)
Directions:
Melt chips & peanut butter
Mix with corn flakes
Press into sprayed pan (I just smear a small amount of butter with paper towel on bottom and sides of glass baking dish)
Cool in refrigerator for a couple of hours
- Cut and serve
If you have to store them for any period of time – do it in the refrigerator also.
It’s that simple. The hardest part is melting the morsels and PB correctly. If they are overheated – they taste bad.
It is recommended to melt in microwave as follows:
Heat on 50% power for 1 min – stir
Heat on 50% power for 15 sec increments, stirring after each increment
When there are only a few lumps left – just stir and the heat of the other heated mix will melt the lumps
