Salted caramel pannacotta, first time

Postby Russ » Sat Nov 18, 2017 6:44 pm

I wrote down a rick stein recipe for this, it's a pannacotta and you make a salted pistachio brittle and grind it down and mix with cream and pour over the pannacotta, looked really good so I'm making it now. Only the brittle to make then serve in about 5 hrs time. It's only 1 pm here ATM. Pics to follow.

Well it was out of my comfort zone but I'm not giving up. The pannacotta needed more gelatine as only 1 set to my liking, rest were a half set. I've never made brittle before and I'm going to perfect this. I actually burned the mix ans spent some time cleaning the pot. I served with strawberry coulis and ice cream, d.i.l said it was beautiful but I never took pics as I was disappointed. I will try this again but will research it better than watching it on a TV programme.
