Hi Guys
Just looking for any suggestions for what might be a good substitute for brewed coffee in a BBQ sauce. The coffee is coming in at about 25% of the total liquid.

If you are going to use it fresh, many use drippings.
Otherwise maybe beef stock?

Some guys swear by Dr. Pepper. I've never tried it though, can't stand the stuff.

I'm not real crazy about the stuff that we export out of Tx but the Dublin Dr. pepper Rocks. It's made the old time way from the original recipe. The taste Is totally different, and is only available in Tx.

Re: Alternative to coffee in BBQ sauce
I've seen recipes that called for coffee OR beef stock/renderings so I would guess they might be interchangeable to an extent. Only way to find out is to make up a batch...
