Toasted seed question

Postby copkid » Sat Oct 24, 2009 3:01 pm

Hey everyone!
Can one toast any kind of winter squash seed like you can pumpkin seeds? I've been baking alot of butternut squash lately, and hate to waste those seeds if I can do anything with them!
TIA!

To who ever moved my question, I didn't really think of this as a recipe request, it was a request wanting to know if a certain food was safe to eat. :?

I have not done them, but a gal that works with Pam toasts them all the time. Pam says they're real good, reminds her of pumpkin seeds. She said she coats them in EVO and sprinkles Italian seasoning on them, then toasts them. :D

Yes, U can toast them ...been eating them.long time..Haven't left the world yet..lol

Place in colander- rinse them well-let dry some- Roast or smoke those babies

Have added -sea salt n pepper-sometimes-little garlic granular

Cumin-with-little chili-n-cayenne my next adventure..will just a little at first in-case don't-like them
A mistake is sometimes a great creation
