Need ideas for new Chicken Rub name

Postby Gator » Tue Jul 30, 2013 5:32 pm

Folks I'm working up a new Chicken Rub and trying to decide on a name, your input would be appreciated.

Yard Bird which would be my first choice - already used by Plowboys, cant use it.
Chicken Scratch - also a good 'un, already used - Thanks Redneck for beating me to the punch!

Some others I have on the short list, do you like any of these?
Chicken 'Licker
Cockle Doodle Que
Clucker Dust
Holy Chicken!

Plus I'm looking for other ideas????

It is sweet with chipotle for the heat, which tends to dissipate in heat level the longer you cook...

Maybe we could change the name up a bit and go with "Cock A Doodle Que"...?

I like Clucker Dust. I also like Cockle Doodle Que, but it seems a little wordy to me. Whatever you go with, it'll be on my next order. :thap:
20" x 40" Party Gator Pit
Custom Mobile Stick Burner
Summerset TRL 32" Built-In Grill
Weber Q2200
48" Custom Firepit
Bertello Pizza Oven

I can't always please everybody. I'm not bacon.

Pullet Bullet (what I call eggs, but too lazy to copyright it, so feel free).

Fowl Wow! (that guy on late night TV sells rags using a fancy name like Sham Wow, you oughta be able to peddle salty chicken dust the same way).

Pollo Perfecto (catches the Spanish language market and you got yer Chipotle in there too).

SuperClucker (cause everybody likes super heroes these days).

Chicken Uprising (because one of these days, the little peckers might just turn on us like in that Alfred Hitchcock movie The Birds).

Soylent Green (darn, already taken).

ChickenCharmer (for the Austin psychic crowd).

Smokin' Rooster (descriptive of what we do).

Hootchie Koochie (since you already got yer Hootchie Mama).

Chicken Lickin' (watch out for the KFC legal team).

Now, the one thing I would say, is that whole pecker/scratcher thing probably is going someplace barbecue was just never meant to go.
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."
