Salsa mix

Postby rexster314 » Mon Mar 13, 2017 11:57 am

Got my little order in Friday, and immediately made some salsa using the medium heat package. This is great stuff!! And easy to boot. I added a little chopped cilantro to it and it completely brightened up the salsa.
To keep it fresh, I put the salsa in 2 mason jars with lid seals and put it through my chamber vac.
We opened one up yesterday since we had the munchies, added a little more water to it and I tell you, it's restaurant quality salsa
Ordered more yesterday plus some jelly.
Last night we had a steak and pork chop and I used the steak seasoning. Good stuff also

That's awesome - you can also experiment with different type of tomatoes for various flavors and results + I run mine through a blender for more smooth salsa...Thanks!

Yup, already decided to put in processor or blender for a little more smoother salsa.

Cilantro aka coriander is my favourite herb and I use a lot of it. Also the seeds dry roasted and ground are a must when making a curry. I love the smell on my hands after handling it, I'll even rub a wee bit on my fingers when I see it in the supermarket. Love the smell.

I've done the same thing a couple of times; just love the fresh sweetish smell. We put it in our pinto beans after the beans are done.
