Just a brief comment about Suckle Busters Texas Gunpowder Jalapeno Flavored Pepper Jelly if I may. I have been hooked on it for some time now and I even order 3 bottles at a time because it doesn't stay long at my house. I use it to sweeten Tex Mex Recipes such as Salsa, Pico de gallo and Quesadilla Sauce as well as just use it like Jelly. This morning I made some Kitten Head Biscuits (Cat Heads are larger) then I mixed together some Pepper Jelly and Sour Cream. Split the biscuits and put butter on one side and some pepper jelly/sour cream mix on the other. What a great combination and "more forgiving" than one would think.

Man, those sure do look tasty! My mom used to make those big cathead biscuits.... would give anything to relive one of those days she would make them.

Ever thought about making the pepper jelly into some sort of rib glaze?

YES, and I may do just that and add it to Aaron Franklin's Fig BBQ Sauce that I'm trying to talk myself into making from some of these purple monsters in my front ditch.

I love ditches. You get figs, sometimes, we get crawfish!

Let me know how it turns out. I've thought about it, just not sure the best way to accomplish a good glaze…

I did it a few years ago with some of mama's pepper jelly. Thinned it with some of that blue bottle butter. It was good and honestly haven't thought about doing it since but now that you mention it....
