The following are all bought in largish containers such as found at Sam's/Coscto.
The Chili powders, also bought in larger amounts, are from different spice providers.

I have just the common stuff that's been mentioned, and I do not buy in bulk. It is just me and my wife basically...
I have Sucklebusters, so don't need to make my own rubs etc...

Most common and bought in bulk from Sams or online at spice store. I sometimes also buy smoked salt.

I buy all most all my spices online. Some that I use aren't in the local stores. I buy larger bulk in pepper, certain salts ( reg Kosher I buy in store ) chili powder, onion powder, granulated garlic and onion, garlic powder. I order the larger portions about twice a year for making my own pepper mixes and rubs. I think the spices from the spice companies online are fresher than the ones in the grocery store and I have a better variety of herbs and spices to buy.

Papa Tom wrote:Yep I buy the larger containers. I counted 54 1 lb (or larger) jars in the pantry and this does not include peppers that I buy in bulk and roast and grind myself or the salts or curing salts. And lord knows how many smaller bottles I have. And believe it or not when Bowhunter and I made sausage ( 3 kinds) there was one spice (mace) that I had to go get.
I would have cheated and used nutmeg

I thought about it Dats but wanted to follow the exact recipe the first time. Mace is the husk of nutmeg and the taste is similar but intensity is different.

For me, I don't tend to buy in bulk. Right now, for the family, I just go to the grocery store for the spices. Usually, that's because I need a spice for a recipe and need it right then.
Only bulk item I have is a bottle of HM.
Would I buy online and/or in bulk? A qualified "yes". Best intentions, I would, but don't plan around me. Heck, I usually go to Main Street for the SB products, cause I need them for that weekend or I'm in the area.

I'm like most the others. Have bought bulk for a good while, but with gas, haven't gone to Dallas to buy any. Some I buy at Sam's. With the right price, bulk is always a good option, if shipping is reasonable. No names, but there's a couple big suppliers around Dallas.
