When it's cold outside...

Postby Sailor Kenshin » Tue Oct 25, 2016 3:50 pm

It's that time of year: leaves are turning color, we feel like heating up the kitchen again. Which means: giant batch of chili. And not ashamed in the least to state that we made it with a boxed chili mix of the Two-Alarm variety. About a pound and a half of beef, pork, and veal. Also beans. Just 'cause.

Not seen here: the side of Russian Roulette chips (one in five or so will make you cry, great fun!) and the guac to dip them in.

There are leftovers. Might stir them into some mac 'n' cheese later this week.

Nice bowl of "Goodness" there Sailor  :salut:  I've been arguing and arguing with myself about it still being too early for Chili but I think you've solved that arguement. I really like the three meat touch and I do it every chance I get also.

Thanks, everyone...the chips are a LE from Doritos, and are actually called Roulette. I added the Russian, lol.

It took a lot of self-control to save some of this chili.

OUP: It's hard to find large bags of the Roulette chips in supermarkets. The smaller bags might be easier to find in delis & covenience stores.

Ain't it fun?

We did throw some of the chili into mac 'n' cheese, but neglected to use the chips because I insisted on a green salad. There's always next time.
